Charlie Musselwhite’s journey through the blues was from his birth in Mississippi to Memphis, Chicago and California. Through fifty years of nonstop touring, performing and recording over 20 albums, Musselwhite is living proof that great music only gets better with age. This singular blues harp player, singer, songwriter and guitarist is a true master of American classic vernacular music.

The blues captures life at its most pure. It speaks to the human spirit without pretense, fuss, or gloss. Nobody does the blues quite like Angela Strehli. Over five decades into her career and 17 years since her last solo LP, Angela magnifies her voice once again on her 2022 full-length debut for New West Records, Ace of Blues. “Blues music is songs about life,” she muses. “It has evolved, because life does. It’s about all of the emotions, the problems, and the triumphs…it’s just truthful music.”
